Entertaining new horror film
An underdog review here. This film is being unfairly treated. I'm an avid horror fan and eat horror for breakfast. I've seen countless horror films and this one is far from bad. Is it an instant classic? No. Don't set your expectations too high. Classics become classics in large part because they are few and far between. Just because a film isn't at that level doesn't make it bad. To appreciate this film, you really need to avoid spoilers like the plague, as the movie intends for you to see through the POV of the main characters and discover things as they do. The beginning of the film is subpar and I was worried that it might stink. I kept an open mind and then when the action started I was confused as to whether it was a back door remake (with music video zombies) and if so, what's the point? But I stayed with the characters and continued to try to puzzle things out as they did and then the film turned a corner. The third part is where they came out guns blazing and you understand...

I love Sid Haig and zombie movies. I thought this would be a great film, but...
The best way to watch this film is not to read the title or any review. The title lets you know that the whole zombie scene is a set up. The film would have been better served if the title and box description didn't give so much away and if the film stayed in character longer. In my opinion this would have been a better film if they would have stolen "Cabin in the Woods" scenario where the zombies would be real under the control of people. The film seemed to end just when it was getting started.
Note: Never eat someone else's bloody body organs raw as there is a bevy of blood borne pathogens out there.

It was a good ride.
Nice idea. Some people at a party are drugged and wake up dressed as the character from the Night of the Living Dead movie. The acting wasn't the greatest but not that bad. A nice twist ending. Is this an instant cult classic? No. But far from the worse horror movie out there. It is a good ride, just don't read the reviews so you will be surprised in the end.
